Cover and poem illustrations.

Every year, the city of Gandía celebrates Fallas, a traditional festival where each group presents a monument built around a chosen theme. The story, concept, and artistic vision behind each monument are compiled in a booklet, which also includes a satirical poem inspired by that year’s theme.

The 2026 theme was Samsara. For the cover, I created my own interpretation of the Wheel of Life, blending symbolic elements from the original imagery with the distinctive traditions of Fallas.

Inside the booklet, a satirical poem reflects on modern life through the lens of this theme. I illustrated the verses using recognizable visual references from Indian culture, reimagined with a playful and contemporary touch.
